Bestia Sacra opens like the first breath of a summer ritual. Bergamot cutting through warm air as two forms of frankincense begin to rise.
Frankincense Serrata brings brightness, clarity, and dry resin, while Frankincense Boswellia Sacra moves deeper: golden, smoky, meditative, almost ancient. Together, they create the sensation of resin touching flame : luminous, sacred, and alive.
As the fragrance warms on skin, the ritual becomes more physical. Myrrh and opoponax melt into a balsamic heart, while nagarmotha adds dry earth, root, and smoke. Then the animalic notes emerge: musk, castoreum, and civet not for shock, but as sun-warmed skin, breath, fur, leather, and instinct.
The drydown becomes smoother and more intimate. Sandalwood softens the edges, oakmoss adds shadow, benzoin brings a warm balsamic glow, and labdanum leaves a leathery resin trail, with nagarmotha keeping the smoke dry and close to the body.

I believe they use that to create the calm temple atmosphere.
Yes, that’s the olfactory description of the 1st hour or so.
But then comes the beast. This is very animalic indeed. Quite challenging!
It’s really good for what it is and it would suit an older guy. That’s how I imagine it.
I bet this would work extremely well layering it with something with another profound character.
Like most of Maksims creations, just beyond the rest of what the market has to offer.
